What is the BIG EAST Sports & Entertainment Networking Event?
There’s more than just great basketball being played at Madison Square Garden during the BIG EAST men’s basketball tournament in March. This year, in partnership with the BIG EAST Athletic Conference, the BIG EAST Career Consortium is hosting another exciting event. Combining the best aspects of a career fair with the benefits of a more intimate networking event, The BIG EAST Sports & Entertainment Networking Event connects over 200 students, alumni, and career services professionals with up to 40 employers from the sports and entertainment industry—all in one location.

What if my hiring needs change during the spring?
You do not need to be hiring in order to attend the Career Networking Event! One important function of this event is to establish your brand with students, alumni, and career services staff.
Employers who participate in the networking event will have access to student participants’ resumes—and the resumes of students who were not able to attend the event—via the Experience career management system until June 30, 2015. This special benefit of your participation will allow you to search resumes of top students as your hiring needs evolve. (Students will be invited to upload resumes following the event. Note that the BIG EAST Career Consortium cannot guarantee a particular number of resumes will be available.)
How should I enter Madison Square Garden to access the Bar and Grill?
Enter Madison Square Garden through Chase Square, located off Seventh Avenue between W. 31st and W. 33rd Streets. This is the entrance to the box office area. You will need to pass though security before proceeding up the escalator on the right to the next floor. Checking in at the BIG EAST Career Consortium registration table is required prior to entering the event. The Club Bar and Grill is located on the 3rd floor Terrace level. You may be asked to show a picture ID to enter.
If you have questions do not hesitate to contact Jennifer Grauso at grausoj@stjohns.edu or phone at (718) 990-1325.
